Here's an interesting, but clearly old, geek test. It's extremely long, but made me smile (or cringe) many, many times.

Geek Test

I scored 34.51677%, rounded up at the fifth decimal place. *grin* How "well" did you score? If you take this, you MUST leave a comment with your score. I'm serious. I showed you mine, so . . .

And to solidify that fact that perhaps I should have scored higher, here's a bit of trivia:

On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be:

01:02:03 04/05/06

That won't ever happen again. (until 3006 A.D.)

You may now return to your (normal ?) life.

Ah, if only I could remember the boiling point of water in Kelvin, I'm sure I could have tied you. :-)
And if I tried, I'm sure I could've come up with the dwarves names from Lord of the Rings / The Hobbit.

Oh, and I didn't take credit for the science, gaming, and sf magazines I had subscriptions to, but let lapse. That would certainly have pushed my score higher!

I could have scored higher but I'm not a math/science kind of geek.
They should broaden the geek scope a bit. :-)

(it's because of Star Trek. It certainly isn't because of any computer savvy I have...)

Mine is also mostly Star Trek . . . although there is a heavy dose from the "I have read . . ." part as well.

YES, it will!

It will, in fact, happen again on the fourth of May this year - if you are from Europe or from the rest of the world, for that matter!

I'll be staying up late now, just to see it. And I'll let you know about my geek test results this evening after work.

One question though -- is June 6th of this year Satan's Millenial Birthday?

That extra 0 is getting in the way: 6606.

Besides, isn't there controversy over what the number actually is? Wasn't there something a few months back that the real number is 616 or something like that?

I'd have to google to find out for sure.
