So, they've posted the cover art for the German translation of "The Vacant Throne," called Die Kaempferin, over here. Once I get my hands on a jpg file, I'll post it, but for now you can follow the link.

I am so freaking in love with the German covers to these books. Love, love, love them.

You? Have no idea, no idea how lucky you are. These are great covers - and good German covers on translated fantasy? Almost unheard-of.

What they do for us ordinary mortals, they buy up routine fantasy artwork and assign it at random. Honestly. I once had a cover depicting a giant golden eagle with wizards riding on its back. Um? That was so, so very not in the book, which was all about deserts and camels and such...

Yeah, I think they bought my books to launch a new line, so it got some good treatment because they want the line to succeed.

Then the economy tanked, so . . .
