And I'm Back

jpskewedthroneGot back last night from a trip to NYC for a friend's birthday party. A big fancy to-do. Got on a boat and did a dinner and tour of the island at night, had the birthday party with the boat idling off of the Statue of Liberty, then back to port. The dinner was good, and there was dancing and drinking and much revelry. After that, my partner and I spent the night at a great hotel called The Muse, and then we did the "walk the entire city in a day of frenzied shopping" thing on Sunday. Altogether a great trip. I managed to get my friend comixboy all of his birthday gifts, plus a few extra since I'm late, but I didn't find any cool shirts for me. Oh well. There's always next time. I did pick up some music.
The most exciting news is still the preorder option at amazon. I'm reveling in that, and managed to blurt it out to almost every guest at the birthday party I ran into at some point during the conversation. I'm shameless I know.
But now back to work. Got to get chapter 10 started (although it's once again horribly, horribly hot and humid here). There are tentative plans to work on my up-and-coming webpage this weekend, so watch for an announcement about that. And don't forget to mark your calendars! January 3rd!!
