First of all, thanks to everyone who responded to my book review questions posed yesterday. I'm feeling a little better now. See, I got an email that sort of pissed me off and made me doubt that I was doing something "good" by posting reviews, so I needed some reassurance. I got it, from you and from two other sources, so I'm feeling more on solid ground now. Don't worry, the reviews will continue, and for those of you who were concerned about not commenting on the reviews, don't worry there either. I'm not expecting people to respond to the reviews unless they feel they'd like to add what they thought about the book as well, or if they felt the review piqued their interest and they'd like me to know. One of the hardest things to do in the publishing world at the moment is to get readers to even be AWARE of the books that are out there, especially with fewer and fewer of them getting any shelf space for browsing purposes at the brick-and-mortar bookstores. I'm hoping that my reviews give some of those books more exposure. At least that's the intent.

In any case, thanks again, I'm feeling much better now. A review of Jim C. Hines' Red Hood's Revenge is coming up next (probably tomorrow).

I do have some linkage for today.

First, I'm guest blogging over at Magical Words today, so swing on by and see what I think about one way in which fantasy books can be structured in order to help readers adjust and learn about a brand new world. Feel free to leave comments!

And second, a comment/review of Well of Sorrows over at [livejournal.com profile] blood_of_winter's blog.
