Urban Dare
Jul. 17th, 2010 01:58 pmToday I am staying home on my computer with my cell phone in hand NOT to write, but to help a friend in Denver who is participating in the Urban Dare. Basically, this is a mini-Amazing Race set in one city. You run around and take pictures of your team at the locations given to you as clues. At some locations, you may have to complete some kind of task. It's supposed to take somewhere between 2 to 5 hours to complete and you're only allowed to use certain types of public transportation. You need a camera, of course, and can have a cell phone with you so you can contact friends and get them to help you with the clues. That's what
pbray and I are doing for
jennifer_dunne and her hubby today. The race is set to start in another 5 minutes or so.
Patricia Bray and I were going to do the race in NYC in September, but "someone" will be on a plane flying back from their bike trip that day. So instead our plan it to try for the one in Philadelphia.
BTW, it's supposed to be 100 degress in Denver today.
