So I managed to make it back from Norwescon. The con was great, as usual. I spent most of my time between panels and autographing and socializing escorting my mom around the con. She thought it was great . . . although I'm not sure she'll be back. She mainly went to see my brother, who lives in Seattle, which is why I stayed a day or two after the con, so I could visit with him and with my friend from high school, [livejournal.com profile] comixboy. We shopped, played Wii, played board games (Settlers of Catan mostly), etc. And we ate. Lots. So I'm on the enforced diet now.

Haven't quite recovered from the time change yet. I'm feeling somewhat sleepy right now, but need to get my ass in gear and get some things done, including get back on the writing saddle and get this book done.

I won't be able to catch up on the LJ reading for while I was gone, so if there was something of importance I need to see, tell me in the comments.

It was awsome to meet you

Great to meet you, too! And what do you mean I'm sneaky? What was sneaky about the book?

Thank You for Attending

It was nice to have you at Norwescon. I'm just sorry I missed you at the con. I guess that is always a regret that I have: too many pros and too little time. It is better now then when I was Programming Director but not by a wide margin as my wife still has her finger deep into the con pie. That means following her around to social gatherings and other commitments. Not that I’m complaining. After all, how many chances does one have to eat dinner with Dan Simmons at your table? Still, I would like more time to network with other writers.

So, after you get a chance to recover a bit more, will you be posting a post-con report? How were the parties in Suite 1360? Did the Dealers have an adequate stock of your books? Things like that.

I'll likely be posting a con report in the next few days. Parties were good, dealers room didn't bring enough copies of my books, but I had some with me so they didn't run out.

And I fully intend to return next year. Norwescon is on my permanent list of cons to attend. (I'm trimming a few of the others.)
