I have a serious case of "drag ass" and it's not getting any better as the day goes along. I blame this on the fact that I should be starting my revisions. However, you people are not posting enough to keep me entertained and I'm running out of things to do to procrastinate. I even started *gasp* GRADING PAPERS in order to keep myself away from the computer . . . er, um, at least away from the files marked Vacant Throne. Here is the sole amount of progress I have made on the revision today:

I created a new folder and labeled it: Vacant Throne, Version 2.

That's it. I'd write my day off as complete and read, but . . .

It's because I know the revisions are going to be long and complicated. And this is the first day of my break. And I deserve a day off dammit!

Ok, now I've started rationalizing the non-work. *sigh*

For those interested, I will be posting a new writing tip/advice/random thought this Friday both here and everywhere. It might not show up until later in the day because . . . I have a radio gig! I have that signing set up at Borders at the Lycoming Mall near Williamsport, PA this Saturday at 2pm, and for promo for it, the marketing person at the bookstore got me a stint at the local radio station, Variety 97.7. I'm supposed to be there at 8am on Friday and do something for half an hour or an hour or something. I'm going to try to be personable and funny, but as I told the marketing person, I'm a math teacher so . . . Plus, alot of things I say that are funny would get completely bleeped from the air, which sort of kills the whole point of being on the radio. I have more of a dry wit. I tend to surprise people into laughter by saying something they completely don't expect either at that point in the conversation, or that they don't expect to come from me. I'm not sure how this will translate to a radio gig. The station is cool though. It plays all the music I like. So it should be fun. Did I mention I'm driving 2 1/2 hours to be on the radio for half an hour, then driving another 2 1/2 hours to get back home?

I think a stop at Starbucks will be required.

Now back to *ahem* work.

*Oooooo, look! Shiny web page!*

My partner keeps the apartment so clean there's never a chance for me to use housework as an excuse.

But now I've finished grading everything I have. Hmm . . . what to do, what to do . . .

Not even close. I'm waiting for button supplies to arrive. And I need to figure out how I want to do the stickers. I have messed with designing the info for the buttons though.

Actually I will be doing a signing or two in State College. The first is at Websters Bookstore Cafe on March 29th at 6:30pm, and the second is at the Penn State bookstore on campus on April 17th at 2pm.

Well... with all the *bleeping*, at least they won't forget you. ;-)

I suspect you'll do a great job. I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes.
