Ugh, the last week has been full of recalls of products that I have bought. First, my car. Yes, yes, the brand new car. Supposedly the radiator could have been installed incorrectly, so they wanted me to bring it in to check. So I did this morning, which of course completely wiped out my writing time this morning. Then, before I go to do that, I hear on the TV that they're recalling laptops because of defective batteries. My laptop was on the list.

Thankfully, when I went to the webpage, it wasn't all laptops. You had to check the battery, and when I did, mine wasn't on the list for recall.

In any case, the one destroyed my morning writing session, so not much in the way of productivity today. I wrote this afternoon and managed to get through the grieving/buriel scene of the unexpectedly-dead character and shift it into the next scene, where I figured out how to use the death to bring in something that I've wanted to bring in since the first page but hadn't figure out how without it sounded, you know, forced. Now it's a natural consequence of events, even though it will make something later in the book (if I pull it off) much more difficult.

So tomorrow: worldbuild like a fiend and get them to Venitte in the morning writing session; then after lunch, worldbuild on a different culture like a fiend and get Varis to the summer festival, where of course all hells breaks loose in a fun and dangerous way. The hells part won't get written until Thursday at the earliest, in my estimation.

Then Friday I get to lose more writing time to go to get my suit fitted for my brother's wedding. Yeah!

Much serious wordage tomorrow. I hope. Worldbuilding is hard.
