Notice that I am the only male on all of the panels I am participating in. Just call me "Token". I love the fact that I'm on a panel with [livejournal.com profile] pbray (who I regularly eat, drink, and do embarassing things with) and [livejournal.com profile] matociquala (who I met for the first time at World Fantasy and would love to meet again). I'm also happy I'll be able to meet everyone else on the rest of the panels, all of whom I've known of for some time, but never had the chance (or guts) to meet. Also note, I'm not a moderator. Hee hee! Since I've moderated every panel I've been on since I sold the book, this will be a nice break. My sympathies to Tamora.

Ooh, heroine's journey sounds interesting.

This Boskone is gonna be tough -- there seem to be a lot of panels I want to go to, and I'm going to have to pick and choose so I get enough hours in working in the art show, too!

Yes, I was surprised at how busy my schedule was. I expected less than half of this in the way of panels and such.

Way to give the impression that we're a couple :-)

Of course we slept together at WFC, so....

Hey, can you bring a digital recorder and set it up while you're doing the panels, especially the one on setting? I'd be more than happy to host it on my website (if you didn't on yours, of course), or maybe we could put it in the OWW Wiki.

That would be an awesome resource for all the speculative types, and with our increasing tech savvy, it makes me wonder why we aren't doing this at all the conventions. Kinda of a Greatful Dead/Widespread Panic thing for all the pointy-eared writers.

If nothing else, I would be willing to transcribe it. Just an idea, if you happen to have a digital recorder handy. Or a laptop and microphone. Hmmm, I bet if we asked around, someone could pull it off... Just imagine if someone set up a webcam -- that would be _sweet_!

Not so wild after all, really. They were doing something like that at Albacon 2005 I believe. I think the first issue would be getting Boskone to agree to publicly display the panel after the fact. Then I think you'd need approval from the panel participants. People might be concerned that fans would not attend the con because they could just wait and see the panels they wanted afterwards for free. That's probably why this hasn't become more prevalent.

I'd probably record the panels I'm on, except I don't have a digital recorder handy. Nor a microphone for my laptop. If nothing else, I can try to summarize the panel in a report on LJ.

popping by to say hello, since I found your book on oww & was curious. I'll put your book on my reading list. :)

Thanks for stopping by! And stop by again, at least to let me know what you thought of the book, but hopefully for other things as well.

well, I "friended" you & I look forward to reading your book. I'm always anxious to hear how other writers are getting on. :)
