I have officially registered for Boskone and hope to get on some of the programming. I've already sent an email begging for participation, but don't expect to hear back any time soon.

I've heard a rumor that we'll know the programming for World Fantasy soon. I'm not expecting anything for that. It's too big and I'm too new. But I'm sure I'll have fun anyway.

And right now, I'm starting to freak out about Albacon this coming weekend. I don't know anyone there! I'll be on my own! *cringes*

Remember, the truest way to make new friends (even if you can't remember their names later) is by sidling up to the bar and buying drinks for strangers.

Mentioning that you are a soon-to-be-publish novelist probably won't hurt either.

Combining the two (Hi, my novel, the Skewed Throne due on bookshelves in January, would like to be you a drink) might be the winning combo.
