I thought this was the weakest of the Sandman collections. Loved "Dream of a Thousand Cats" (I am a cat person) and thought "Facade" was pretty good; "Midsummer" was underwhelming, and "Calliope" annoyed me as I thought the depiction of the muse's suffering verged on exploitation.
