The last of the August book discussion is now up at the DAW Books blog ([livejournal.com profile] dawbooks)! We're discussing The Diviner by Melanie Rawn, sort of a prequel to the collaborative novel The Golden Key written by Melanie Rawn, Jennifer Roberson, and Kate Elliott. Swing on by to check out the book or leave a comment on what you thought of it!

For those in the Chicago area, or who are attending Chicon, I'll be there! (I know this simply made your entire trip.) The important question is, of course, where to find me. Here's my schedule. Notice there's a kaffeeklatsch. Feel free to sign up for that, or just swing on by for a nice chat. I also have a signing and reading scheduled. Any suggestions on what I should read from? I'm sure you'll also spot me at the bar at other various times. In any case, hunt me down! And if anyone knows of a good Chicago-style pizza place close to the hotel, let me know. I'll be arriving Thursday night around 6:30pm and will be hungry. Let me know if you'd like to join me!

Friday, August 31st:

Kaffeeklatsch, 4:30-6pm: In Kaffeeklatsch 4 (wherever that is). Come and drink with me!

Saturday, September 1st:

Autographing, 10:30am-Noon: Come get shit signed! (Whatever books I have with me will also be for sale.) At the autographing tables.

Reading, Noon-12:30pm: And then you can listen to me butcher my own writing in the spoken word. (Whatever books I have left will also be for sale.) This is in Addams.

What Good Is an Editor? panel, 1:30-3pm: Come find out what an editor is really good for. I can talk about this from both sides of the fence--as an author and as an editor of short stories for anthologies. Some other great panelists here as well, such as Gordon van Gelder, Jack Skillingstead, Jeanne Cavelos, and Russell Davis. We'll be in Grand Suite 3, which sounds just grand.

And that's it for the "public" appearances. Like I said, you can probably find me at the bar often, and I'm serious about getting Chicago style pizza at a good joint. I'd even take a taxi if it was a little farther out. I need to research this more. Hope to see some of you there!
