This is release week for the new anthology The Modern Fae's Guide to Surviving Humanity edited by me and Patricia Bray. So we have a few events schedule that I thought I'd let everyone know about.

First up, we have a release party in Binghamton, NY (well, technically in Endicott) at the George F. Johnson Memorial Library on March 6th, the actual release day, from 6-9pm. April Steenburgh and I will be there to celebrate the book's release and her first professional short story sale. We'll have some light snacks and drinks, plus copies of the book for sale. Stop on by!

Next, we have a reading/signing/talk at Flights of Fantasy in Albany, NY! Patricia and I will be there, along with contributing authors S.C. Butler, Susan Jett, and April Steenburgh. The event starts at 5pm and will run for an hour or two. Swing on by if you're in the area.

And lastly, there will be a release party at Lunacon, held in Rye, NY. I'll be there, along with contributing authors S.C. Butler, Susan Jett, and Barbara Ashford! Books will be available at the con.

Comic Con San Diego, here I come!!! Yesterday, I scored two four-day w/preview night passes to Comic Con during the mad rush that was registration. I'd signed up for the Member ID ages ago, so got the warning for when registration would open and the link. Yesterday, at 11am EST, I was ready at my computer, waiting, and managed to log in to the registration waiting room at 11:00:54am. I was #4797 in line, and within about 10 minutes I was registering for the two passes. Contrary to some reports I've seen online, I had no problem with the link (but I didn't try to click through it, I just copied and pasted it) and the waiting room and registering experience was incredibly smooth and painless. I've heard that the 4-day passes sold out within 30 minutes and the entire con was sold out within an hour and a half.

I'm stoked. This is my first time going to Comic Con, so I expect to be wowed and overwhelmed and generally overstimulated. *grin* I've already got a hotel and a flight, so I think I'm set. Who else is going to be there? And if you are, make certain you stop by the Penguin booth! I'll be there at some point signing copies of my books and generally making certain everyone there knows who I am. *grin*
