Weekend!

So, as I thought, having my partner home on Friday was not good for the revisions. I didn't get anything done that day, or during the holiday weekend, which is fine. I'm moving along fairly fast on the revisions so a day off on that (I never do revisions on the weekends) was probably good. I do need to get something more done on those today though (and the partner is coming home for the second half of today, so . . .)

But the holiday weekend was a blast. On Saturday, we went cherry picking. We ended up with 15 lbs of cherries, so now I need to figure out what to do with those. Cherry cobbler will happen, I'm sure. After that, we hit a few wineries up by Seneca Lake. Note to self: eat something before going to tastings, otherwise the wine hits rather fast. We bought more wine that I expected (I thought we'd get a couple of bottles, but we ended up with 8 I think). And THEN we hit Ithaca to go to a tapas restaurant called "Just A Taste" that we both love. I had ricotta-stuffed squash blossoms and they were good. And of course we had the potato wedges with aioli, which ROCK. We always get those and always bring another order or two home with us.

So a good 4th of July. Sunday was also good, but in a laid back kind of way. We hit the flea market, napped, gardened, etc. But a nice day as well.

What did all of you guys do this past weekend?
