Well, to Lunacon anyway. Got in around 3:30, ran into
barbarienne in the lobby of the hotel, made plans for dinner, checked in, went to room, threw everything down and packed bag for the first panel, dropped off promo materials near registration, tried to register but the line was too long so met
barbarienne and friend (not sure if she has an LJ account or not) and went to dinner at a great Italian restaurant in Port Chester, made it back JUST in time for the panel, which was on "How to Avoid Publishing Scams," ran into Barbara Campbell, FINALLY got to registration and signed in to get badge, went in search of
scbutler who inconveniently decided not to attend his autographing because there were no tables free, chatted with him while waiting for Barbara's panel to end because I'd left my leftover Italian in the room accidentally, ran to the Meet the Pros mixer where I chatted with many new people, realized I was missing the LJ Meet & Greet so ran off to that with
scbutler and caught the last ten minutes of that or so, then went to the LGBT Meet & Greet which was loads of fun, THEN the art reception . . . and then called it a night.
And it was as non-stop as that sentence. Somewhere in there, I hit the dealer's room and signed the copies of my books that they had. Also got invited to participate in an anthology, which I'd like to do, but it will depend on whether I get a good idea for the theme or not. Also met and chatted with Peter Brett (who I'd met at a previous con and spent an evening in the bar with) and his friend Jay. And ran into a few people hither and yon from LJ, including
sodyera,
ndecisive, and
sacredmime. I probably met other people from LJ but either didn't catch their LJ name or it was never brought up or it was just a quick hi in passing. In any case, a very busy evening.
Today I have a reading, a signing, and a panel on "Queerness in SF." There are a few other panels of interest I'll try to hit as well, plus dinner with
anghara and the rest of the crew and Leigh Grossman's annual Lunacon party. I MIGHT have a small break somewhere in the afternoon. Perhaps. Maybe. Or not. *grin*
