DAW Hugo Eligible Nominations
Feb. 13th, 2009 07:54 amI'm off to Boskone (see my schedule here) shortly, but I thought I'd depart with a push for some of the Hugo eligible novels and short for some of my fellow DAW authors. Not that my novel The Vacant Throne is eligible, so if you feel so inclined, just jot it down on the novel nomination form. *grin*
I'm not sure whether I'll be updating from Boskone or not. Depends on whether I decide to take my computer. If not, I'll update everyone after the weekend. Happy Friday the Thirteenth everyone! And if I'm not on here tomorrow, Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Here's a list of some of the DAW books and shorts written by DAW authors that are eligible for Hugo nominations. The deadline for Hugo nominations is February 28th, so you need to get those nominations in shortly. In order to nominate, you must have attended or supported the World Science Fiction Convention in Denver last year (Denvention 3) or were an attending or supporting member of the World Science Fiction Convention in Montreal, Canada this year (Anticipation) before January 31, 2009. This is not an extensive list by any means, merely a list provided by those DAW authors who are active on
dawbooks and wanted to participate. Also, I've only included the eligible works that were actually published by DAW here. Some of the DAW authors had shorts or novels that were published by other houses or magazines. Check the comment section here for those eligible shorts and novels.
Novels:
Harmony by C.F. Bentley
Magic of Twilight by S.L. Farrell
The Vacant Throne by Joshua Palmatier
King's Shield by Sherwood Smith
