Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

So I've made it to Maine, to visit my brother and sister-in-law for Thanksgiving. We've made a bunch of dishes and popped them in the oven and whatnot and now we're waiting for things to actually cook while we snack heavily on . . . well, snacks. So I figured I'd let everyone know what bookstores I hit and signed stack at on the way up here. The following bookstores now have signed copies of some of my books. None of them have a TON of copies, so if you REALLY want a signed copy, better get there fast:

Borders at the Southside Mall in Oneonta, NY (signed paperbacks and hardcover of book 3)

Barnes & Noble in Niskayuna, NY, near Albany (signed paperbacks)

Waldenbooks at the Greendale Mall in Worcester, Mass. (signed paperbacks)

Borders in Shrewsbury, Mass., near Worcester (signed paperbacks and hardcover of book 3)

Borders in Marlborough, Mass. (signed paperbacks and hardcover of book 3)

Waldenbooks in Marlborough, Mass. (signed hardcover of book 3)

The Waldenbooks in Marlborough and a few of the other places are expecting to get in more copies of my books, but they hadn't arrived yet when I stopped by. I'll be sending them signed bookplates for those books. I'll also be stopping at the following two bookstores in the next 2 days to sign whatever copies they have:

B. Dalton at the Fox Run Mall in Portsmuth, NH

Borders in Brunswick, Maine

So check there as well. I attempted to get a few other bookstores on the route to bring in copies but they were . . . uncooperative. Some were actually rude. I don't understand this at all. The goal of the bookstore is to sell books. If they can get an author to agree to stop by and sign stock--not even an official sit-in signing, just sign stock--especially at the holidays, you'd think they'd pounce on it. But no. This does not help me sell books, and it certainly doesn't help the bookstore sell books. I know I sold a few copies just by stopping in the stores on the way down and being there at that precise moment to sign them. But anyway, that's a rant for another day. Check out those stores if you're looking for a signed copy of the books for yourself, or for a holiday gift for someone else. If you get there too late, remember that I'm offering some sales of my own over here, so you can still get signed copies if you want them. Personalized even. *grin*

Now to go enjoy the family and some holiday food. Hope everyone else is having a safe and happy holiday!
