You know you're a writer when . . .

. . . you have notes on your desk saying things like: "Benedine must die."

Killed chapters 15 and 16 of the revisions today, cutting many pages from both. Must kill Benedine tomorrow, much earlier than he was killed originally. I believe I've cut 114 pages so far, with 7 chapters left to revise. Only 6 days left until my editor kills me with the hundred plus extra pages of this book.

Brain dead now. Must sleep.
