Radio Interview
May. 23rd, 2008 11:21 amI'm getting ready to head out to Balticon, so if it seems like I'm slightly silent over the next few days, that's why. Either not good connection at the hotel, OR I'm just too busy at the bar. *grin*
BUT, when I return on Monday, I may not be in good enough shape to mention this, so I figured I'd mention it now: I'll be doing a radio interview, live, on WSKG Public Radio on Teusday, May 27th, at 1PM for a segment called Off the Page. The interview will be repeated at 7pm, and then it will be archived on their website as a podcast. The interview is partly a call-in broadcast and, while I hesitate to give all of my "friends" in Binghamton and the surrounding area a free reign to harrass me, the call-in number for the broadcast is (888) 359-9754. They also take questions and comments by email at WSKG.Radio (at) gmail.com. Once the interview is over, I'll put a link to the podcast here on my LJ and on my website, for those interested. Assuming I don't make a complete ass of myself, that is.
The interview is going to be focused on The Vacant Throne, although I'm certain we'll end up discussing the other books as well, and future projects. I'll be reading a few small snippets from the books, answering questions, talking about fantasy and science-fiction in general, etc. It should be interesting. Or not. I'm not sure. I've never done an actual extended, call-in interview like this before. I've been on the radio to promote the books before, but that was for a few soundbites between actual songs being played. This . . . will be different.
In any case, wish me luck. I'm already nervous and it's still days (and many drinks) away. If you have any questions you'd like me to answer about the books or writing or whatever on the air, feel free to email the radio station at the email above. I'm somewhat worried that when the DJ goes to call-in questions, all we'll hear are crickets. *grin*
