Ugh! Exams
Feb. 24th, 2008 10:15 pmExams written. Zombies fed. Time for bed.
I got no writing done today (except exams). Opted to see the movie "Vantage Point". It was an OK movie, although it could have been made better by NOT having the rewind gimmick thingie. In case you don't know, I have the following movie scale:
Great!
Good.
OK.
Meh.
Red Planet. (Has anyone seen this movie? It sucked. It sucked so much I railed about how bad it was as I left the theater, all the way home, and into the next day. Its suckiness made me physically shake. Here's the ultimate premise and the source of the complete suckiness for the most part: aliens once lived on Mars, which was an awful lot like Earth; something goes terribly wrong and they have to leave Mars, so they flee the solar system in space ships but "seed" the Earth so that it will become a planet like Mars once was . . . so why the hell didn't they just inhabit Earth instead of fleeing the solar system? That plot hole is so large I could squeeze the entire universe into it! OMG. I'm shaking again just thinking about it.)
So the movie was fun to watch although nothing really spectacular to see. It fulfilled its purpose, which was to distract me from writing exams for a few hours. No actual writing was done due to the exams, because I can't distract myself from writing exams by pouring my soul out while writing fantasy . . . that just doesn't work. Hope to get back into writing again tomorrow. (I tried writing yesterday, got 500 words down, drew a map, created names for many, many things . . . and then just gave up.) Anyway, I'm rambling. That zombie feeding thing. I'd better sign off before I reveal something really embarrassing.
