Albacon!!!
Sep. 23rd, 2006 01:18 pmYes, Albacon is just around the corner: October 6-8th in Albany, NY. I'll be attending with the following schedule:
Friday: Ice Cream Social! See how much ice cream a fantasy writer can eat!
Saturday Noon: Reading. Come listen to me and fellow DAW author Barbara Campbell read from our second books. She'll read from Bloodstone and I'll read from Cracked Throne. Chocolate and a few prizes will be given out.
Saturday 1pm: We Are The Orcs! Come celebrate being SF and F fans! Who cares what all the literary critics think! (And why do they think that way anyway?) A discussion on how SF and F is perceived by other genre readers, writers, and critics.
Sunday Noon: Learn from the Pros (Before You Repeat Their Newbie Mistakes) Learn how to approach that editor or agent . . . and leave a good impression. Fellow authors will discuss what mistakes they made on their way to being published, so that you don't make them yourself.
So if you're in the Albany area, plan on attending Albacon. If nothing else, come and enjoy the ice cream!
And don't forget the Cracked Throne Contest! There's only a week left to enter the blog portion of the contest!
