Worldbuilding is FUN!!
Aug. 18th, 2006 03:45 pmIt's also hard. But today, I wrote the scene where they arrive in the new city. And I discovered that I enjoy making up new shit. *grin* A whole new culture to explore! Well, not really. They have to be relatively close to Amenkor, but I enjoy pointing out the differences. And of course their reception in the city isn't quite what they expected (it never is in books). The chapter just kept going and going and going (I caught the
kaygo disease, except this is midbook as opposed to the end; perhaps a variant on the strain?). But I finished the chapter and now feel the incredible urge to continue on with chapter 10, even though my head hurts from all the intense writing.
Do other people feel that way while writing? Your head aches, but you're so into it that you feel like you can write until your fingers are just little nubbins and your head explodes?
Anyway, I really need to get ready for the gym. I also need to go see if the fitting on that suit is good. Here's the wordage!
Vacant Throne
PS--I HATE the fact that the writing is going so good right now and yet school is about to start. AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! (and not the good pirate type either)
