May. 6th, 2006 07:43 amHere's the Japanese name quiz for me. For a brief moment, I thought I said I was a good forture cookie and burst out laughing, but then I focused and actually read it.
In "What the hell have I been doing since the revisions are done?" news: I've been desperately trying to get the semester finished. The last class has been held. Now all I've got are finals and the grading thereof. However, I didn't have any of the finals actually written until yesterday. I managed to get the statistics final written, which is a big one, because unlike the other finals, a stats final consists of entirely story problems. You can't just say "Solve this" like an algebra final. No, no. You have to say things like, "You want to find the average cost of college textbooks for a single semester so collect a sample of 100 students and . . ." Every problem has a setup/story behind it.
So even though I'm not officially writing, I'm still writing. And for most students, I'm still writing fantasy. *grin*
Today's goal is to get the Math for Management final written. This shouldn't take that long. And then tomorrow I hope to get the two algebra finals written. Actually, I have to write 4 algebra finals because the seats in that room are too close together so I'll have to cut down on the cheating by having at least 2, possibly 4 different exams in each class in the room. *sigh* It's such a pain in the ass that teachers have to deal with this issue. And what's stupid is that the people cheating usually cheat off of people that are doing worse than them in class.
