After much flip-flopping and heated mental discussions with myself, I have finally decided that I will be attending the World Fantasy Convention in Madison, WI this year. Basically, it came down to two things:

First, I know a few people attending WFC, some friends of which I haven't seen in years because, for example, they moved to Hawaii. Some I haven't ever seen in person. So a good time should be had by all as we all meet and decide whether or not we still like each other.

And secondly, WFC is only 2 months before my book release. I think the lag time of two months between me telling people to buy my book and when it actually becomes available to buy, and the other lag time of 5 months, is much better. There's a slim chance that a few people might actually remember me and that I have a book coming out.

I think the friend reason is MUCH better, because I really would like to meet some of them all again.

I've asked to be put on the programming without much hope of anything actually happening there, but I'll keep everyone updated. I also asked for a reading, and that (I've been told) has a much higher chance of happening. Updates on that too.

In revisions news . . . nothing new. I spent the weekend antiquing and buying flowers and/or gardening. Just got my wisteria unwound from its temporary trellis and rewound onto a new shepherd's hook where I hope to bonsai it into submission. I'm sure it will win, even if in the end it does so by the successful but somewhat final means of killing itself.

New computer is NICE!
