Well, the webpage for the radio interview tomorrow is up. You can check it out here. (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] pbray!)

PS--He obviously misheard me on the phone about the Five Magicks. He heard "Fate" when the actual name of the magic is "Sight". Just to clarify.

PSS--Bill Jaker, the man who interviewed me today, saw my note above about the mistake and corrected it. Yay!

Hope you enjoyed it. I can't listen to it yet. Because I just can't. Hearing my own voice . . . not so much.

I heard the interview on the way up from Philadelphia. I am a fantasy/science fiction artist who lives in Trumansburg, outside of Ithaca. It was a very fun interview... made me want to read the books. Which is the first mission, I would think.

But 2nd mission, it was really nice to hear a genre writer get that much time and space to talk on NPR. I really appreciated it. I liked hearing about the mathematics, teaching, Binghamton and how those things may or may not have been weaved into the fiction.

My grandfather was a mathematician at Cornell. I still feel to this day that I sit and work in a studio that is somehow similar to the study that he used to sit in and work at. Sorta that solitary life of the mind kinda thing. At the very least, seems that we both need naps around 2:00.

Anyways, I didn't mean to babble incessantly. I just really enjoyed the show, and look forward to the read... and it was fun to hear about someone in the Southern Tier.

...and it made the drive between Scranton and Binghamton much more interesting.

That's great! I'm glad it made the drive more bearable. And yes, the hope is that everyone who hears the interview will find themselves stopping at the next bookstore and buying all of the books in hardcover, without actually realizing that's what they're doing. *grin* Perhaps even buying a set for their friend. *evil grin*

Naps are important. Never miss your nap.

I was surprised that I got the interview as well, but it certainly was a blast!
