It occurs to me, the whole synopsis question comes up so often, it might be an idea to organise a number of us to post actual synopses for actual published books, to let people see the things themselves (and hence understand more clearly the relationship - or lack of relationship - between the synopsis and the final text). Not saying it would help any, because the One Sure Thing as that they would all be utterly different each from each, but still, it might be interesting...
