Well, after much suffering and thinking and writing and rewriting and trashing and epiphanies, I managed to finish chapter 12. *heavy sigh* Here's the word count:

Hmm . . . the wordmeter doesn't seem to be working. So here's the basic version with no cool graphics:

92250/100000 or about 92.25%
Well of Sorrows

I managed to start chapter 13 today as well, getting 1390 words done even tough today was the first day of the new semester. Somehow, I managed to write between work and the gym, then wrote again after the gym. Really, the hardest part is getting your ass down in the chair. But it does help that I actually knew what was going to happen at the beginning of this chapter, unlike chapter 12. The words flow much easier if you can "see" the scenes and where they're supposed to be going. Hopefully that's a good sign that the rest of the book will fall together well. Maybe I'm over that "muddle in the middle" part of the book.

I can always hope. *grin*

At least you actually manage to get things from your head to the computer. My stuff usually ends up on loose paper in binders that get "lost" for months, or never leaves the creativity corner of my brain. *grins*

Wierd as it is, I have the same problem with papers for grad school. I know what I want to say, and how to go about saying it, but getting it into comprehensive word form is a pain. Somehow, it manages to work out, and with good results.

*crosses fingers* Good luck with the rest!
