Well, after much suffering and thinking and writing and rewriting and trashing and epiphanies, I managed to finish chapter 12. *heavy sigh* Here's the word count:

I managed to start chapter 13 today as well, getting 1390 words done even tough today was the first day of the new semester. Somehow, I managed to write between work and the gym, then wrote again after the gym. Really, the hardest part is getting your ass down in the chair. But it does help that I actually knew what was going to happen at the beginning of this chapter, unlike chapter 12. The words flow much easier if you can "see" the scenes and where they're supposed to be going. Hopefully that's a good sign that the rest of the book will fall together well. Maybe I'm over that "muddle in the middle" part of the book.

I can always hope. *grin*

I can actually get things done by just sitting there staring at the screen . . . just not actual writing. *grin* Usually it's figuring out plot things, worldbuilding things, why the hell my character acts the way he does, etc.

But yes, eventually fingers must more on keyboard.
