Argh!!!! 3--Mystery Solved

jpskewedthroneSo when the contracts did not arrive in TODAY'S mail, I called my agent and asked whether she knew what was going on. And it turns out that there was a mistake made in the New York office. The head of the office had two sets of contracts from two clients--me and someone else. When Amy told them to mail my contracts, they mailed the other clients's contracts by mistake. The error wasn't found until this morning, when the head of the office asked my agent what she wanted her to do with my contracts and my agent said she thought they'd already been sent. She hadn't had a chance to email me before I called.
Thus MY contracts went out in the mail today. No need to sit atop the mailbox until Monday.
In other news, I've set up an on-campus interview with the U of Central Oklahoma for the beginning of March. That leaves a few weeks for other people to get in touch with me so I won't feel rushed into making a decision on any possible U of CO offer. Maybe by then the "top of my list" will have gotten around to the interviewing process. Here's hoping.
