Just be aware that I consider book 1 to be OK and book 2 a little lackluster. However book 3 was interesting enough that I'm glad I continued reading the series. Book 1 has that "first novel" feel to it, but the society was interesting and it didn't follow the plot-path I assumed it would. Book 2 simply lost the dynamic between the characters, which is one of the great things about book 3.
