OK, since the last time I attempted to post photos on here it was a disaster (with HUGE pictures that I couldn't figure out how to shrink down), I'm just going to give everyone links to the photos on my FaceBook profile. Here are the links!

Roof Garden Pics 1
Roof Garden Pics 2
Roof Garden Pics 3

Hopefully those links will work. If not, feel free to friend me over there. I'll friend you back and then you can see them.

Only works if one has FaceBook. :)

I was afraid of that. *sigh* Ok, I'll see if I can get the pics to work without being huge again.

Yeah, between Facebook, MySpace and Twitter I feel like such a luddite.

I've restricted my activity to Facebook and LiveJournal. I haven't gotten into Twitter yet, and I've abandoned MySpace.

I could seriously hate you, do you know that? Grins. You have more veggies than I do and my tomatoes haven't even ripened yet, depite being started early, indoors.

I am also very happy and grateful. Your book arrived and I am happily engrossed in the first chapter. Thanks, hon.

Good to know the book has arrived.

And yeah, the garden is producing rather well actually. So many tomatoes that it looks like I'll have to cut up what we've got to make a salad (with some peppers) so that they'll keep longer.

These were pre-heatwave, but the plants look even better now. I water them every day at least once. The squash and melons in particular look much better, since this was taken while they still had powdery mildew issues and we've resolved that.

It is indeed a white powder on the leaves. We got rid of it by buying something called Neem. You mix the Neem with water to dilute it, then spray the leaves, both top and bottom, thoroughly in a long and arduous process that I did not partake in. *grin* But it works. The Neem changes the PH level on the leaves to something the powdery mildew doesn't like. And Neem is supposedly completely natural, not a fungicide or anything.

There's also something you can do with baking soda, but we never got that to work. (We tried that first.)

Beautiful! And yes, I'm jealous. I have to get my veggies from a CSA box every week 'cause I can't grow anything edible. Although I did get a couple of cups of blueberries, this year, so I'm exaggerating slightly.

Being a foodie, I want pictures of the finished products all plated up...

Once again, I've been flummoxed by the mysterious "you've been signed out and we never told you" computer bug. I'm not anonymous, promise!

Pictures of everything plated up is going to be hard, since I tend to eat it all raw. *grin* Well, not the eggplant. Once we get some of that, I'll try to remember to provide a picture of the parm or whatever we make with that.

What...?

And give my right name to somebody as disreputable as a writer?

So I tried to post this earlier but just as I finished, my stupid power went out for an hour or so.

Anyway... I wanted to say I loved the pics and the guinea pig 'yard'. THAT was priceless.

Second - I can give you easy directions on fixing the pics in your post if you'd like. I'm just not retyping them right now. I'll try to remember to message you tomorrow. :)
