Guest Blog: Setting as Character
Jan. 9th, 2012 10:30 amA guest post where I talk about treating the setting/world of the book as a character in and of itself has now been posted at Mary Victoria's blog! She's running a series of posts from my fellow co-authors in the River anthology edited by Alma Alexander. Since my contribution is set in the city of Amenkor, part of my "Throne of Amenkor" series, I talked about how the Dredge became a character of its own during the course of writing the novel . . . and how it taught me that I need to do this with ALL of my settings/worlds. But swing on by and read the post for yourself! And feel free to leave some comments, and join the rest of the posts about "Place as Person" that Mary's posting over the new few weeks!
