And now I'd like to talk about some of the Fall TV that we're starting to see. Last night, I saw Flashforward . . . and I have to say that I liked it! Alot! The main issue I see with the show at this point is that the SF event that is the heart of the show has already happened. It's the setup. The rest appears to be the story unfolding from this event and how people react to it, so I'm kind of wondering if they can keep up the "cool" factor of the premise without doing more "flashforwards" down the road. They've certainly got a few mysteries to solve, which is good. I'm certainly interested in the show and intend to keep watching.

During one of the breaks for this, they showed a trailer for a remake of V. I never saw the original show when it aired, but the preview looked interesting. It had the cool SF factor, but it didn't really give away much in terms of storyline. So in that respect, Flashforward kicked V's ass. I was much more anxious about seeing the Flashforward premiere than I am to seeing the V premiere. I'll check it out of course.

I also watched Fringe last night, and it was good. But I already liked Fringe so there's no surprise there. I like what they're doing with the season so far.

After that I watched Project Runway. Not much to say here, except that it still seems to catch my attention and keep it.

In other reality TV news, I'm looking forward to The Amazing Race starting up this Sunday.

And that's what I've seen so far. What else is everyone anticipating or watching in the way of TV this Fall?

I just realized that I never posted the link for the radio interview I did along with two other authors from the area, Dorren Alsen and Jennifer Bokal. They are more romance authors, so I was the odd man out this time in more than one way. We were asked to talk about writing in general, as well as for our specific genres, do a reading from an upcoming work, and talk a little about the conference that I mentioned here on my blog that had happened the weekend before this aired. I think everything went well, overall. I did have a habit of speaking too far away from the microphone, and the general allusion is that somehow I write romance as well, but eh, I'll live. *grin*

If you read through the actual text on the webpage they set up for the links, you'll notice that they say that Well of Sorrows is the first book of the Throne of Amenkor series, which is of course incorrect. For those that don't know, the Throne of Amenkor series comprises (so far), in order, The Skewed Throne, The Cracked Throne, and The Vacant Throne. Well of Sorrows is the start of a new series. You can get a taste of the first chapter on the interview.

Also, you'll notice that there's a link to a second, pre-recorded segment that didn't make it onto the air at the original airing. There was some kind of malfunction (you'll hear them mention it at the beginning of the interview), but it was a recording of interviews done at the actual conference. I'm not sure what all was said there, but it might be interesting to check that out as well. (I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, although I did hear the beginning before the malfunction set in.)
