I Have a New Hobby
Aug. 13th, 2009 11:37 amI'm now obsessively watching the Amazon.com.de rankings for Die Assassine. *grin* I know, I know, it's a total waste of time, but having the book released in Germany makes it even that much more difficult to know what's happening with it! I can't run down to the bookstore and assure myself that it's on the shelf (nor can I pester the people in the store to buy it when it is on the shelf).
So, while I obsess over that, here are some interesting links I've collected recently:
Giant Salamandar! Although not the largest ever found. Which is scary.
Rice Field Art! It took a moment to convince myself that this was actually different colored rice, not a painted rice field.
The Soldier in Later Medieval England. An interesting project and database.
Transformer Cufflinks! I would have bought these in a second if they hadn't been sold out.
The Art of Sound. I think I posted this once before, but it's worth posting again. You may want to turn down the volume before you hit play.
Ladybugs! This is where I got the ladybugs that took care of the aphid problem in my garden. Note you can also get praying mantiseseses. Manti. Mantids. Whatever.
