So today I went to the bookstore after the gym, because I had a coupon. I was hoping [livejournal.com profile] fireun would be there, because I haven't seen her in a while, but no. However, I found the employee who was in charge back in the SF and F section helping a customer. As I came up on them, I realized that they were looking at books and trying to pick one out. So when the employee noticed me and said hi, I said, "You should buy my book!"

And the customer bought my book. That's all I said. The employee pointed out the book (Vacant Throne) and that it was signed and I smiled and nodded and then while the customer read the back cover copy of the book (and checked to make certain it was actually signed) I chatted with the employee.

Now, if I could just duplicate that about 10,000 times I'd have a writing career.
