I recently asked if you had any questions. Here are some of the answers. Feel free to ask more questions in this post.

[livejournal.com profile] everyonesakitty What's your alcoholic beverage of choice? White Russians with Skyy and Kahlua. (I'm not a cheap date.)

[livejournal.com profile] jeffpalmatier If your writing career really takes off to the point that you can support yourself solely through your writing, will you keep your day job? Depends. At the moment, my day job is 3 hours away from where I live, so I travel down on Monday, teach til Thursday, then drive back Thursday night. This sucks. So if I could support myself with the writing at this point, I'd ditch the day job. If I was making enough on the writing that I could support myself decently, even with a day job that was closer, I'd probably still ditch it. I love teaching, but writing is my true love and if I could spend all of my time working on that, with no monetary worries, I would.

As for the other comment, I get that alot. I never thought about it much. I was told as I grew up that the writing thing was fine and good, but I also needed to have a fallback plan in case the writing didn't take off, that I'd need a secure job just in case. I'd wanted to teach math since the sixth grade (wanting to write started in the eighth grade), so I went with that.

[livejournal.com profile] anghara What's your favourite aspect of the writing game?... (creating the work? being read?) I'd have to go with creating the work. I obsess and fret and worry as I'm writing it, as you can see in the LJ entries, but finishing it, or writing something that I really think is good . . . that gives me a sense of euphoria that can't be beat. Revising and page proofing and all that is OK, but that's more analytical. I like the creation process much more. Of course, it comes with much higher highs and lower lows as well.

Thanks for all the questions! Now, if you like, leave a comment here with your answer to your own question. (Just to turn it around on you all. *grin*)

Snarked from [livejournal.com profile] stevenagy. Notice the 3-way tie. Interesting.

You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. Roguish,quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] aeriedraconia! If you have a question or two, leave it in the comments and I'll answer. Writing-related or otherwise.

[livejournal.com profile] aeriedraconia What's the first thing you do when you get up in the morning (after the bathroom bit)? I usually power up the computer, check email and LJ, answer anything important, then get down to writing. And I write until lunch, break for that, then write until I hit a good stopping point or until the gym. This is the summer schedule.

In the fall or spring semesters, I either don't write and just teach classes . . . or I work in writing around the class schedule. This fall, I'll be writing in the morning, then heading in to teach, and since I have Friday's off I'll most likely be writing all day Friday according to the summer schedule.

[livejournal.com profile] aeriedraconia Morning person or night owl? Hmm . . . I generally don't have a problem getting up and around and moving, but I seem to get most of my stuff done in the evening/night. I used to write in the evening, but since I got involved in a relationship with someone who has a regular 9-5 day job, I've shifted the writing to the morning and afternoon so that I can spend the evening doing whatever else with him.

Personality-wise, I'm a night person though.

[livejournal.com profile] aeriedraconia Will you come out to Norwescon in 2007? http://www.norwescon.org/ (And bring jennifer_dunne and pbray with you?) :-) I fully intend to if it fits my schedule. And I'd love to get [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne and [livejournal.com profile] pbray to come as well. I'll work on them. I'm cutting down on the cons next year, but hope to keep Norwescon on the list. I had a great time there this year.
