OK, so here's the URL of my webpage. This is incredibly rough, with no current links to interesting pages, and no real artwork. BUT I did just receive the cover art for the novel The Skewed Throne and it's great! I'm hoping to get a link set up so you guys can see it (but I'm having problems getting the file to download to the appropriate site). Once that's ready, I'll let you guys know.

But for now, tell me what you think of this:

(I've altered the webpage and don't have all the permissions I need from artists and stuff, so for now the webpage is closed. Sorry! The new webpage will be open sometime soon.)

The cool JBP icon in the upper lefthand corner is courtesy of a great and true friend, comixboy.

I may have to change the color scheme to mesh well with my cover art. But for now, it's a start.

Edit: Thanks pbray for the helpful hint on how to make it a link!

Okay, it's a good start. I think you want the navigation box on the left rather than below, right?

And in the LiveJournal entry, in order to make this a hotlink that people can click on it, you need to include the "http://" first, so it's
http://www.sff.net/people/jpalmatier

Finally, are you going to load the cover art up there as a file? And post the URL in your LJ?

Yes, I want to put the cover art up, but the stupid thing won't download to the site. It seems like it's almost done, then an error page pops up. I'll try again though. Once I get it there, I'm definitely posting the URL for it.

Looks pretty good -- except for the boxes not showing up where they should be. Did you edit the source files I gave you in a Microsoft product? There seems to be much more "helpful" code added, which may be what's screwing up the display.

Hmm . . . yes I did edit it with a Microsoft product. However, when I tested the webpage out before posting on LJ, the webpage showed up fine. Boxes were all in the right place, etc. I'll have to look at the code and see what needs to be removed, etc.

This is all probably a result of me attempting to do this on my own, rather than waiting patiently for us to do it together. *sigh* I've learned my lesson. No more playing around until we can do a sit down and have at it.
