So today's writer tip is about "Inventing a Religion" for your fantasy (or SF) world . . . and it's not here. I got an invitation to be a guest blogger over at Magical Words by
madkestrel and decided I could talk about religion because it was such a noncontroversial topic. *grin* In any case, head on over and check it out (I assume it's up at this point; if not, check back later today). It's just my own ramblings on the topic. Feel free to comment over there AND here as well. Enjoy!

Date: 2008-04-04 02:14 pm (UTC)In my newest erotica novel, Our Lady Of Pain, religion is the main theme. It's a twisted BDSM-based one that was been created by some mad English poet who was pining after his dead prostitute Mistress. He never liked organized religion, often went out of his way to insult it publically and as one more kick to the balls, elevated his Mistress to a Goddess-like persona. Surprisingly, it caught on with the kinky London crowd and is now an secret, international organization with tax-exempt status. Heehee. I hear they are always looking for serious converts.
