Nonworldcon Party!
Aug. 23rd, 2006 11:12 pmAs suggested by
rolanni, those of us not fortunate enough to be dehydrating on flights to Worldcon are throwing a party!
rolanni has ordered the pizza. I believe
kinzel is the DJ. *grin*
I fully intended to attend the actual Worldcon, but then my brother planned his wedding for that weekend. And what's worse, I hear that DAW is throwing some kind of HUGE ASS PARTY and won't be at World Fantasy, which I am attending.
I feel . . . left out. I want to meet DAW authors. I want to talk my editor into buying another trilogy. I want a drink.
But NO! NO! I'm here in NY pretending that I'm writing book 3 of my current trilogy and convincing myself that school can't possibly start on Monday because I'M NOT READY! Summer is not over, dammit! I protest! I've still got 40% of my book to write!
*pant pant wheeze*
Rant over.
In other news, I managed to write a little over a thousand words today, pack for the wedding, buy the last few wedding presents for other people that I'm bringing, pack my bags for school, print out syllabi for all four classes, and attempt to get a signing set up for November at the local Waldenbooks. So take that all you Worldconners enjoying yourself out in California! Just . . . take that!
*grin*
