Not For The Faint Of Heart
WARNING!!! Do not read beyond this if you have even the faintest imagination!!! You have been warned.
Today and yesterday, due to the extreme heat, I wrote . . . in the nude.
Yes! Yes! In the nude! And it was still too hot. I ended up writing in the morning until lunch. Took a break for lunch. Got back to work . . . and gave up at 2pm or thereabouts both days. It just got WAY to uncomfortable to just sit in the chair, let alone sit in the chair and actually think. (And NOT because I was in the nude, for those of you sniggering out there.)
It's just too damn hot. I know you've read about this on numerous thousands of other LJ entries, but seriously.
I did manage to write though, and get some interesting scenes done. Not as productive as I'd like to be on the tail-end of summer (no pun intended), but the book keeps growing and growing, which is a good thing (and get your mind out of the gutter, even though I put it there). Tomorrow is supposed to mildly less hot, followed by a normal temp Friday, then it's back up to just above normal for the weekend. Here's the word count:
Vacant Throne
What did I learn about writing today? That if I move my characters out of their usual settings . . . I must actually spend time on the new setting. Damn.
Also, believable kissing is a bitch to write. *grin*

Congrats on the book release. I ordered my copy and email today said it had shipped. Looking forward to it.

(I got Skewed Throne a while back, and it is inching toward the top of the pile--I volunteered for two juries this year, which is why the pile got so massive.)

I am mean, you can't leave that part out.

As for believeable kissing, maybe you should research some romance novels.
