Call Out: MODERN FAE Reviews

Just a call out to everyone who may have read THE MODERN FAE'S GUIDE TO SURVIVING HUMANITY. A new review was posted on Amazon.com in which the reviewer panned the entire anthology after reading (and disliking) one of the stories. They didn't bother to read the other stories in the anthology, just scanned them. If you've read the anthology and liked even some of the stories, feel free to swing on by and post your own review of the anthology. I don't mind bad reviews (there's no way I'll ever be able to please everyone), but I hate people who review it based on reading one story or pan a book because they opened it up and read a few pages. If you do stop by, please, DON'T respond to the posted review; they have the right to their own opinion. But posting your own thoughts on the anthology would be appreciated. Thanks!

To each their own, of course. But honestly, "...a short story of Oberon (yes, THAT Oberon) as a candy-loving, plastic-hoarding retail store owner, with a daughter sporting purple hair and eyes..." would totally make me WANT to read a collection!

See, that's exactly my reaction! *grin*

Same here.

Yes, I really liked that one, too. I mean, it just explains SO MUCH. ;)

I have never understood "I can't be bothered to read this, but I will take the time to put up a review for it"

I don't get that either.

I think some people just get off on being negative. They will note the exact page at which they stopped reading. They'll trash descriptions of weather 200 years in the future. They'll nitpick every choice the author makes.

True...

FWIW, it appears that this is this person's only review on Amazon.

I'd noticed that as well. (I went to see if they trashed every book they reviewed out of curiosity.)

I finished reading it today and will have the review up soon. Not a bad story in the bunch.

Cool! A review would be appreciated. And I'm glad you enjoyed the anthology. *grin*
