Discussion over at Westeros

There's a discussion going on over at Westeros (the George R.R. Martin forum) and my Throne of Amenkor series was mentioned. I thought some of you might be interested in weighing in, especially if you're already part of the group. Check out the discussion here.

Now, returning to 24.

wow. I just read that - and I am thankful I don't belong to that forum. I mean, there is someone in it who doesn't like Song of Ice and Fire (so you are a member of the forum why) - and loves the damn Rothfus book Song of the Wind or whatever that piece of drivel was. *shudder*

"Name of the Wind" was the name of the driv--book. *grin*

Well, I was just hoping people would add their own good comments about my books to the thread. Gyrehead (I think that's the handle) said my books were good but it's lost in the midst of the review of all of the other books. Rob did just put in his good word for my books as well.

But yeah, the forum is somewhat strange. Or at least some of the people there come across that way.

They are a staunch bunch over at Westeros, mostly good-hearted folks. Probably the second best genre community (following SFFWorld (http:/www.sffworld.com/forums)) of course.

Yeah, most seem quite stoked talking about fantasy books, which is great. When I was commenting there, though, it seemed like every time I had an opinion about a book, someone stomped all over me for it.

Perhaps I should return though. I'll have to see if I can dig up my old handle and password.
