Interesting . . .

I just noticed that most of my posts to LJ begin with either "So . . ." or "I managed to . . ." or, the ultimate, "So, I managed to . . ."

I will have to go back and revise my LJ entries. Too much word repetition there. *grin*

Feeling your pain

I have an awful blogging habit of starting sentences with "And". I've been trying to watch for it, but a few still slip through.

I think I'm guilty of the 'So' starts, too. I don't think it matters a whole lot, though, since I am not an author, just a reader.

I doubt anybody else noticed.

I try to make sure I don't make any spelling or grammar gaffs on my blog, although I do catch myself still making them, especially when I blog when I'm tired. I try not to be too overly self-conscious about my writing on my blog because I want to keep it a fun activity.

...always the self-editor! Hard to turn that guy off, isn't it?

So...

A needle pulling thread?

I think you've been revising too much, man...

Isn't revising LJ entries just a way to procrastinate and avoid rewriting? :)

[identity profile] elizabeth-welsh.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Ouch! Nothing like stripping it down to brass tacks. And it was such an effective procrastination technique.

Yeah, I start with "so" all the time, too. It seems more conversational, maybe?

*cackling ensues*

[identity profile] jaxom92.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
So I have that problem too. Hehe. The death of the inner thesaurus seems to be running rampant as of late... at least for me and people I know.

So, have you managed to find the time to do that yet?

[identity profile] elizabeth-welsh.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I loved that you managed to answer jpsorrow with his ultimate opening.

**grin**

Don't edit. If you do, this one will have to be deleted and that wouldn't do now that so many have replied
