Movie Post

OK, I've started seeing some of the summer movies, now that they're out, so I'll start my annual "Rating of the Summer Movies!" Basically, I just list the movies I've seen in order from what I thought was the best to those not quite as good. I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull today . . . which was a good, fun movie, but nowhere near the quality of the Last Crusade. It wasn't as tightly plotted, the relationships weren't as deep, and in a few places it perhaps went a little over the top. As you can see from my ratings list, Iron Man was better:

Summer Movies According to Joshua Palmatier: (Best to Not-as-Good)

Iron Man
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Comments? Any disagreements on the order?

Loved Ironman.

Chronicles was... disappointing. Worth watching, but definitely disappointing.

Haven't seen Indy yet! *eager*

I've only seen Iron Man so far. And Orion and I saw Speed Racer. I put it below Iron Man, but I liked it better than most, it seems.

Haven't seen any of these yet....

Planning on Mummy 3? The Dark Knight?

I've only seen Iron Man. I can't say I loved it, but I did liek it. I expect my wife to drag me back in. What I'm really looking forward to is HellBoy 2.

Saw Iron Man last night with my youngest. Some was great. Some not so great, but then I am Sam-Who-Likes-Nothing. Not sure I'm going to see the new Indy, though.

Have fun in Baltimore. Crabs!
