Update: Guest Blogs and Reviews!

Ok, now that the fall semester is over, finals are graded, and final grades calculated, I have a spare moment to breathe. Well, not exactly, since I have to do revisions on the new book by the end of January, BUT I'm going to take a quick break from that (and holiday shopping) in order to catch up on some of the things that have happened in the last month or so.
First, I had a guest blog up at the APEX Books blog, where I talk about writing novels in two different ways--one where I overwrite it first and then trim it down, and one where I underwrite it and then add things to it. I've written novels in both ways so far (most of them in the overwrite method, only one in the underwrite method) and so discuss some observations on that. Check it out here.
And secondly, there have been a couple of reviews posted of Well of Sorrows lately that I haven't had a chance to link to until now. The first is from
chris_gerrib here on LJ. Chris said he was interested in reading the book even though he doesn't typically read or like epic fantasy, and his review reflects that view.
The second is not really a review (yet), but it does indicate that perhaps the book is one you should read. *grin* This one is at Fantasy Literature's Fantasy Book Reviews page/blog. The first reviewer makes mention of not only Well of Sorrows but also the upcoming Leaves of Flame. Not much I can do about getting that third book out there faster, Bill. I'm writing it as fast as I can!
And that's the update for guest posts and reviews. I'll hopefully have more to share once the second book hits the shelves in January. (Have you ordered your copy yet?)
