It was not gory, blood and guts violent in any way. There are battles between the aliens and the humans, but this was composed of fight sequences, with actual violence between humans and aliens more or less obscured or off screen, so to speak. The most up close and personal fighting that I recall is someone getting shot by arrows.

Overall, I wouldn't call it all that violent.
