Albacon!!!

So this weekend is Albacon, the local SF&F convention in Albany, NY. I will, of course, be there, along with some of the usual suspects, such as [livejournal.com profile] pbray and [livejournal.com profile] scbutler. My independent study student has been pressured into coming up for Saturday as well. Here's where I'll be during the weekend:

Friday:

6pm Panel: Finding an agent, or entirely bypassing an agent.

7:30pm Reading: I'll read from my upcoming book.

8pm Ice Cream Social: ICE CREAM!!!

Saturday:

11am Panel: Exposition: One Lump or Two

Noon Autographing: I'll be signing whatever you want me to sign

1pm Panel: Creating Magic Systems

Sunday:

10am Panel: Apocalypse When?

1pm Panel: Cover to Cover

**********************

So who else is attending?

Well, I'd love to, seeing as how I used to live in Saratoga Springs. Unfortunately, it won't be able to happen this year. Sorry.

You just created huge, if temporary confusion here in Cambridge, England. Albacon is also a series of Scotland-based cons.

I shall be dipping in very briefly to listen to two panels. I had the great pleasure of getting to meet [livejournal.com profile] scbutler at Readercon, and I'll hope to see you and thank you in person for Heartwood, maybe on Friday just before the ice cream social? My dad's on a panel (opposite the ice cream social?! what are the chances of anyone attending but me? Never mind--go dad!!)

Strictly between you and me, there are times when I wish I lived in the US of A rather than Dear Old Blighty aka the UK. All these amazing cons fill me with so much envy. I tell myself that America is so huge that anywhere I visited would be xxxxmillion miles from anywhere interesting in the SFF line, but even so... I wish, I wish...

Will you be blogging about the events you'll be attending? I can't, surely, be the only person who would love to hear of your experiences and opinions! On everything, of course!!

Will be missing out on the fun (and darts?) this year. My schedule is just too packed this month and I have to save money for the World Fantasy Con trip. Will you be in San Jose?

You betcha I'll be there!

Okay, now it's time to talk about moderating you on Saturday.

Mwahahahhahahha!

Note to self: Evil Overlord Laugh really doesn't work with this userpic.

We'll see you there! Kev and I are actually staying in the hotel this year for the first time in ages, so we'll show up after work on Friday, I believe.

Too far afield for me, but I love the title of the Exposition panel. Be sure to post any insights revealed from that one, or the others.
