A friend of mine finally convinced me to read Wuthering Heights (for the first time). She told me that what I'd heard about it was only HALF the story, and that it was NOT a grand love story in the least. So I read it, and was blown away by the manipulation of the first person voices in it.
It's told from three POV's, first person, sometimes in person, sometimes interpreted through another first person character--and the structure is amazingly complex. I find I can't trust the main voice of the novel--the housekeeper who was raised with the rich family Heathcliff finds himself adopted into. I even found papers online written about that character specifically, and how she's the actual villian in the book.
It's truly a masterpiece of first person POV writing.
